South Pacific SX Series Fly Rods

The 4 section rods in the SX range are 9ft long and available in 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 wts. The lower weight rods are set-up with reverse half-wells grips. The higher weight rods feature full-wells grips with EVA/cork butts.

(Spare sections are avilable for anglers wanting to take back-up sections in case of any accidental breakage during travel, add them to your purchase using the dropdown menu at the bottome of this listing) ( Tubes are an optional purchase so that you are not paying for a tube that spends it's life unused in storage. South Pacific have been designing and developing reels for well over a decade and their latest addition to their line-up is the stunning Macro series.

The Macro reel is a high-end reel build, aimed to sell at a mid-price point. Fully machined from Aerospace 601 bar stock aluminium, the Macro offers so much. Exceptional engineering tolerances have been achieved, resulting in a highly rigid reel. The heavily ported light-weight frame and spool are built on a serious Teflon disc drag system to handle the most aggressive opponent. Designed with maximum line capacity in mind, each reel size holds sufficient line for every fishing situation.

No matter whether you’re fishing tight trout streams or casting long across open sandflats, there’s a reel size for the task. In addition to the 3 reel sizes available, there are alternative colour options in Gunsmoke, Classic Black and Glacier Green.

The low stretch inner core has been developed to offer the quickest strike and hook time possible. Tapers are subtle to aid presentation while still maintaining excellent casting distances. The low visibility Watery Olive line colour has been selected to keep the line disguised above and below the water. Streamline loops on both ends.

In the event of any first-time rod breakage, replacement of the broken SX2 or SX fly rod section is simple and only requires a supporting photo clearly showing the damage.
